UNWTO is holding their conference in Luxor now.  The world tourism executive council was treated to fireworks over Luxor temple last night, and so were we.

Luxor temple is on the other side of the Nile (East Bank) but is clearly visible from the hotel property.

After a quiet dinner with Ahmed (Bahrain), Mohammed, Ashraf, Ahmad, and I enjoyed the fireworks.

Today Ahmad is off across the river for some last minute shopping.  Unfortunately his balloon ride this morning was cancelled-wrong winds.  After getting up at 4:30 he was not too pleased when they arrived at the take off site to be told that it was cancelled.

He has planned a sunset felluca sail and then off to the train station for the overnight journey to Cairo. After several hours he will board his flight home to Bahrain.

We have spent a lot of time together in the past week.  We have breakfast and lunch together too.  I am going to miss him.
