I think it was the ceiling fan, but why only at night. As soon as dawn broke the silence, so welcomed, allowed me to fall asleep.
I had breakfast about ten and promptly went to sleep again.
Mohammed came around 1:30 to tell me it was time to go. We were going to pick up Layla and go to the dressmaker. I had wanted some dress fabric and the other day she bought me three different designs and colours from the souk on the other side of the river.
The dressmaker was in a mud brick house in a very rural part of the village. She will call in three or four days when the dresses are finished. I sure hope I like the finished product. I had asked Layla to buy cotton, but to my surprise she got flowery, blingy, non natural fabric which was way more expensive than at Len's. We will see??? I need a bit of bling in my life, anyway.
Thee are some photos of the drive there.
