A interesting bit about schools here in the West Babk,

Mahmoud, Mohammed's older son, who is eleven years old has Fridays and Sundays off, but goes to school on Saturdays.  Yet this afternoon when we were out I saw many school girls in uniform.  I questioned Mohammed and he said that different groups/ages had different days off.  How very difficult itI must be for families to organize family outings.  Fridays are off for all, so that is a family day, if that is part of their culture.
