I have been quiet because not a lot has been going on here other than the usual day to day happenings which I will update later,

Last evening I was delighted to be part of a small audience of about twenty or thirty people for a live performance of traditional Arabic music. The evening was hosted by a retired Dutch teacher and her Egyptian partner.  Most of the audience were Dutch or Swiss. 

They played the flute, oud, violin, and riq.  What beautiful music.  The man playing the oud is blind, but is such a talented musician.
