One man was playing a flute and there were several drummers. A lead man was chanting and the congregation usually responded. The men were twirling, but not the full circle of the whirling dervish. After some time he was twirling so feverishly that both scarfs flew off and he continued. I cannot begin to describe the expression on his face. Eventually he fell to the floor and his body was shaking uncontrollably. A few men stood around him, whether to keep a close eye on him or protect him from a full on view I do not know. They let him "finish" his state in peace and then he rose to once again twirl, but much less intensely. After about five or ten minutes he left. I could not believe my eyes when I saw him don
