Something very interesting I just found out about is that a huge week long Coptic festival is happening here in Luxor in November.  This is an annual festival and attracts more than two million Copts.  This festival of Mar Girgis, St. Mark, is the largest and most exuberant of the year.  The people camp out.  The site and church is a few Kms from our village on the West Bank.

For crowd control etc. The government is sending 150 police officers.  Mohammed has been charged with finding them rooms.  He can take 50 here and has found another hotel for 40, and is busy finding a third hotel.

I wonder if I will be able to go?
